  1. I'm always nervous to hear if people like books I've loved and recommended (whether or not they're reading it because of me; I still feel that way). I'm *so* glad you liked it.

I agree with you about how impressive it was where Brown was able to build suspense and keep me wondering about the details of the Olympics, even when I knew how it all ended.

Brown's other two books are also really good, but this one is his best.

    1. I was curious what else he wrote. I may need to check out the others.

  3. I really enjoyed this book, too. I can imagine it would be even better if you had real experience in this sport! :)

    1. It definitely was, Julie. I kept wanting to FB message all my old boat mates and tell them to read this book ASAP. :)

    1. Cool. I hope you enjoy it. I'm definitely enjoying history more now as an adult than I did when I was in school. :)

  5. Ohh, that sounds good! And I really enjoy listening to audiobooks. I don't read nonfiction a lot, but every so often I really enjoy one. Have you read In the Garden of Beasts by Erik Larsen on Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer? Both are great.

    1. I haven't read Garden of Beasts. I'll have to check it out. I have read Wild and a couple of other Jon Krakauer books. Under the Banner of Heaven was a life-altering book for me.
