Books I plan to read in March

Today I'm linking up with Sheila at The Deliberate Reader to talk about the books I'll be reading this month.

In February, I finished 6 of the 8 books I planned to read. I started Love Walked In, but I just couldn't get into it. I'll try again this month. And Glass Sword hasn't come into the library yet. I'm next on the list! Eek. I can't wait.

I did manage to finish 5 other books in February though, so I read a total of 11 books. Not bad.

I plan to read the following 9 books in March.

Multiple Listings by Tracy McMillan
How did I get it: I got the eARC from NetGalley.
Why did I get it: I was drawn in by the description and the mention that the author wrote for Mad Men. I only watched a little of that show, but I'm always intrigued when writers change mediums.

Weird Girl and What's His Name by Meagan Brothers
How did I get it: I borrowed it from the library.
Why did I get it: It's my YA book club selection for March.

Bookends by Jane Green
How did I get it: I own it.
Why did I get it: I am re-reading this book as part of my re-read challenge for 2016.

Time Between Us by Tamara Ireland Stone
How did I get it: I borrowed it from the library.
Why did I get it: I loved Every Last Word, so I'm finally reading one of her other books. Somehow I had forgotten about it until I read on The Book Addict's Guide that it takes place in Devil's Lake in WI. Since I've been there, I knew I had to read it ASAP. I did check it out right away, but I haven't been able to read more than a few pages so far because of other books that came in and were not renewable. I'm excited to get to it this month.

Edge of Lost by Kristina McMorris
How did I get it: I got the eARC from the publisher.
Why did I get it: It will be my first review for She Reads. Next season I'll need to read the book earlier on in the quarter, but right now I'm still playing catch up. I have read so many great reviews of this book by other She Reads bloggers. I'm really looking forward to it.

The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord
How did I get it: I borrowed it from the library.
Why did I get it: I am reading it as part of my new author challenge of 2016. I am hoping it will get me out of my contemporary YA rut. Hopefully that's not too much pressure.

The Restaurant Critic's Wife by Elizabeth LaBan
How did I get it: I will be borrowing it from the library if it comes in by next weekend. Otherwise I'll be buying the Kindle book.
Why did I get it: It's my mom's book club selection for March.

Just One Day by Gayle Forman
How did I get it: I borrowed it from the library.
Why did I get it: I have been wanting to give Gayle Forman another chance, and I keep hearing GREAT things about this book. I am looking forward to finally reading it.

Emma (The Austen Project) by Alexander McCall Smith
How did I get it: I borrowed it from the library.
Why did I get it: I have been wanting to read another book in this project since reading Sense and Sensibility in July. I can't remember why I picked to read Emma next.

What are you reading this month?

    1. I picked up Glass Sword from the library last night, and it's killing me that I haven't been able to start it yet. Tomorrow for sure!

    1. The Restaurant Critic's Wife didn't live up to my expectations - only 2 stars. I'm reading The Edge of Lost now, and it's very different than the description made it sound. I'm about half way, and right now it's a 3. :(
